The Spiritual Need in Ireland

The Republic of Ireland is roughly the size of the state of West Virginia. The country is filled with beautiful landscapes, architecture and churches. But the beauty of Ireland cannot mask the spiritual darkness of its people. Out of the 4.5 million who call Ireland home, less than 2% are evangelical Christians. Roman Catholicism, Atheism, Islam and religious apathy have claimed the hearts of the Irish people. Ireland is the least evangelized English-speaking country in the world. With political turmoil, a growing suicide rate and spiritual darkness, the people of Ireland are in great need. They seek fulfillment in money, entertainment, religion. What they need is HOPE that can only be found through Jesus Christ.
